高山の朝市は「陣屋前朝市」と「宮川朝市」があります。江戸時代初期に桑市として今の高山別院境内で行なわれていたものが起源ですが、場所も弥生橋詰、中橋付近と変り、大正時代中ごろから高山陣屋前に移りました。昭和１６年ごろまでは夜市として栄え、戦後、朝市になりました。
宮川の朝市は、昭和３５年ごろから、それまで露天商を中心として開かれていましたが、近郊の農家に呼びかけられ現在の朝市になりました。 |
There are two morning markets in Takayama,
the one in front of Takayama Jinya or Historical Government House and the
one along with the Miyagawa River.
The Jinya Morning Market originates from a mulberry
tree market in early Edo era (ca. 1605).
Here, you can find local fresh vegetables, fruits, mountain
vegetables, pickles, and so on. And you can enjoy four seasons of
Takayama through these things. |
